Leah Rae Browning Conley, 84 of Chapmanville, WV passed away peacefully November 25, 2025 at Logan Regional Medical Center with her family by her side.

She was born April 21, 1941 at Verdunville, WV the daughter of the late Clyde and Della Maynard. In addition to her parents Leah was also preceded in death by her husbands, Rayburn Browning and Lee Conley.

Leah attended Maryetta United Baptist Church for many years and was loved by many who knew her. She loved it when the kids would come to her house in Prom clothes to take pictures with her. We hope that she is enjoying her cheesecake every day.

She is survived by her brothers, James Tillman (Debbie) Maynard, and Pat Maynard; sisters, Bonnie (Harold) Kovach, and Jeanetta Elkins. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special people, Jason, Amber, Leland, Payson Anderson, and Gabe Conley.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2025 at Akers-James Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services Sunday at the funeral home. There will be a private burial in Highland Memory Gardens on Monday, December 1, 2025.

In lieu of flowers or food, donations should be made to the organization or church of your choice in her name.
