Leah Joyce Fallon, age 89, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026, with her beloved daughter Julie by her side, hand in hand.
Leah was born and raised in New Castle, Indiana, and graduated from New Castle Chrysler High School with the Class of 1955. She dedicated 34 years of service to Chrysler, working in the administrative office until her retirement.
Leah found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved reading, crafting, gardening, and tending to her beautiful flowers, as well as feeding and watching her birds. A true social butterfly, she enjoyed traveling throughout the country and Canada with her travel companions—always in comfort aboard charter buses—and looked forward each year to her class reunions, cherished time spent with her “lunch bunch gals", and singing while listening to her Elvis Presley collection of albums.
Julie was the center of her Mother's world, her rock, pillar of strength, support, and dedicated love that never wavered, and brought her Mother peace and comfort.
Her greatest joy in life was her family. She deeply loved and cherished her special bond with her granddaughter Diamond, great-grandson Cash, whom she adored, and her beloved granddog, Zoey. She also held a special place in her heart for the " Montana Herd", where she treasured visits with her son Geoff, his wife Lori, along with her granddaughters Krista and Michelle, her husband Dustin, and great-grandson Jadon. She also enjoyed spending time in Florida with her daughter Natalie, her husband Jim, and her grandkids.
She was joyfully reunited with her loving parents, Mabel Ray (Griffith), Horace Batchfield, and her brother, Gary Bruce Batchfield.
A private memorial service will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026, with interment at South Mount Cemetery in New Castle. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
She leaves behind a legacy of love for her surviving children and will be profoundly missed and forever loved by all who knew her.
