Leah Mae Weinsheimer, a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on July 23, 2025, in Cleveland, Ohio, at the age of 60. Born on November 24, 1964, in Akron, Ohio, Leah's spirit shone brightly from the moment she came into this world.

Throughout her life, Leah's greatest joy came from her two sons, Jared and Aiden Weinsheimer. Her unwavering love for them was evident in every sacrifice she made; she would truly give anything for her boys. Leah's legacy is vividly carried on through her cherished grandchildren, Alexis and Ryan, who knew her as "Memaw"—a title she wore with immense pride. To them, she was a beacon of warmth and laughter, always ready to share a story or a joke that would light up any room.

A graduate of Tallmadge High School, Leah was not only known for her dedication to family but also for her vibrant personality. She had a great sense of humor that endeared her to many, making friends wherever she went. With a heart as big as her smile, Leah was crazy about her grandkids and cherished every moment spent in their company.

Her home, kept immaculate and welcoming, was often filled with laughter and love, reflecting Leah's nurturing spirit. Friends and family alike were drawn to her warmth and zest for life, and her love for going to the beach was a testament to her appreciation of the simple joys found in nature.

Leah was the cherished daughter of Edward West and the late Janet West, whose memory will forever be honored by those she leaves behind. In addition to her sons, grandchildren and father, Leah is survived by her loving siblings, Joyce (Ed) Dark and Scott (Jeanette) West, as well as a host of nieces and nephews who adored their Aunt Leah.

A visitation will be held in her honor on July 28, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 131 N Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM conducted by Pastor Jeremy Music, where loved ones will gather to share stories and remember the incredible person Leah was.

Leah Mae Weinsheimer will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her legacy of love, laughter, and devotion lives on in the hearts of her family and friends, reminding us all of the impact one remarkable woman can have on so many lives.
