DELPHOS -- Leann M. Gordon, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister, went peacefully to our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 28, 2023.
Leann will rejoin her parents, Thomas E. Weger and Ruth (Tibbot) Weger, and brother Robert Weger in heaven, as she leaves behind her brother Thomas C. Weger and loving family.
"Happily married for 59 years… out of 61 years, and that ain't so bad," as her husband, Thomas A. Gordon, fondly joked. They created a beautiful life that revolved around faith, family, and friends. She was a devoted mother to five children: Stephen Gordon, SGM James (Ellen) Gordon (US Army Res.), Col Donald (Jody) Gordon (USMC retired), Nicholas (Leah) Gordon, and Laura (Vincent) Raimo. Her 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild were a source of great joy in her life.
Leann was a faithful member of St. John's Parish. Early on, Leann and her husband were actively involved in marriage preparation in the community as well as Marriage Encounter, providing a positive example and influence on young couples. She distributed communion at church and to shut-ins for many years. Most of all, she truly loved singing at church in the choir and as a cantor. Church hymns were near and dear to her, and we were graced with her harmonies emanating from the choir and pew. She had a beautiful voice - a gift that she used to give glory to God.
She was a patient and loving person who cherished getting family and friends together. We will miss her welcoming smile, steadfast guidance, and unconditional love.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023, from 4 pm-8 pm at Harter & Schier Funeral Home, 209 W. 3rd St., Delphos. A mass in her memory will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. John's Church.
Memorial contributions in Leann's name may be made to St. John the Evangelist Church, 331 E. 2nd St., Delphos.

Tom, we are so saddened by this unexpected loss. Know we are thinking about you. We think back to the happy days when Ginger and I double dated with you and Leann. Losing Leann was a shock, but we know she has been reunited with other loved ones and the Lord. May your heart soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
