Leathie Henderson-Henry was born in Emerson Arkansas on March 1, 1961. To the late Pearlie Richardson and Willie Kearny. She entered into eternal rest on January 11, 2024, in her home in Las Vegas NV.
Leathie lived in Las Vegas for 41 years where she worked as a supervisor in the Environmental Services Department at Desert Spring Hospital. Many people knew her to be very loving and caring. She’d feed and clothe anyone who was in need and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for her family. She loved her children deeply and absolutely adored her grandchildren. She was an incredibly strong woman who could overcome anything.
One thing she loved most of all was going fishing. No place made her happier than sitting on the edge of a fishing hole. She enjoyed thrifting, working around her and her mom’s home painting, refurbishing furniture, and other DIY projects. She had a keen eye for interior design and loved to cook. No one can turn a thick cut steak into butter like she did.
Leathie leaves to cherish her memory: four children, Anthony Henderson, Leonnia Stewart, Kendrick Henderson and Morgan Peacock. In addition to her two brothers, Artist Williams and Isaac Richardson and a host of grandchildren
