Leburn Dean Lindsey, known affectionately as Dean by his loved ones, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the age of 75 in Morgantown, KY. Born on August 18, 1950, in Butler Co, he was a man of exceptional character, whose life was marked by his loving nature, wisdom, and handy skills.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hayward and Leona Lindsey, and his sister, Lucille Lindsey. His memory will forever be cherished by his brother, Bill Lindsey. Dean's legacy continues through his children, Ashley Mason, Christopher Lindsey, and Shannon Lindsey, and his grandchildren, Treston Johnson, Elias Mason, Rosealie Mason, Samantha Mason, Hannah Mason, Natalie Mason, Stormie Lindsey, and Christian Lindsey. His great-grandchildren, Lincoln Jackson, Hadley Jackson, and Cashlynn Conner, also held a special place in his heart. Dean was a beloved uncle to several nieces and nephews.
Dean was a dedicated employee at LG&E in Louisville, where he retired after many years of commendable service. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dean was a man of many passions. He was an avid outdoorsman who relished time spent fishing and hunting. His love for riding horses was matched only by the joy he found in working on his farm, where he cultivated not just crops, but a haven for his family and friends. A true green thumb, his garden was a testament to his patience and care.
Dean's playful spirit often came to life in his love for games. He was an enthusiast of video games, cards, and board games, sharing many joyful moments with his family over friendly competition. It was in these simple pleasures that Dean's warmth and humor were most evident.
