Michele Diann Mahealani (Hegwood) Lindsey passed away on October 16, 2025. She was born August 6, 1965, in Honolulu, Hawaii to Marvin and Patricia Hegwood while he was serving in the U.S. Army. Michele lived most of her life in Lafayette, (northwest) Georgia area.
She is preceded in death by her father, Marvin (Curly) F. Hegwood; her mother Patricia (Patty) Pimental Emmons; two brothers, Marvin F. Hegwood, Jr. and William J. Remley Jr; and survived by her two sisters, Pi'ilani Laurianne L.K. (Hegwood) Sorrells, husband, William T. Sorrells, Jr; Patricia (Trishy) J.M. Remley, husband, Steve (Woody) Bradley; niece, Loliana L.K. Sorrells and nephew, Rocky (Pono) K. Rembert.
Additionally, she leaves behind numerous friends and extended family that she loved throughout her childhood and adult life. She was an organ donor and was able to give life to several people through her selfless gift.
A small service was held at Chattanooga Memorial Hospital on Saturday October 18, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
