Leddie Sue Poole, 79, of Charlotte, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at her home.
Sue was born June 17, 1943, in North Carolina to the late Daniel Baxter Sasser and the late Lillie Earnhardt Sasser.
She was also preceded in death by husband, Lonnie Baxter Poole, brothers, Daniel Junior Sasser and Hubert Douglas Sasser.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm, Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow on Saturday at 2:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle officiated by Rev. Ron Honeycutt. Burial will follow at the Oakboro Cemetery at 1397 North Main Street, Oakboro.
Sue is survived by her son, Randy Poole of Charlotte, NC.
Sue spent majority of her life in Albemarle, before she and Lonnie retired to the Holden Beach in 2002. She moved to Charlotte after Lonnie passed in 2010 to be close to her son and extended family. Sue loved spending treasured time with her family, wide circle of friends and caring for her fur babies over the years. A few of her favorite things to do were travel, go to the movies and watch Nascar with her son. She will be remembered for never meeting a stranger and her love for all people.
