Lee James Avery of Cumberland died, April 22, 2022 at his home. He was born July 10, 1958 in Shell Lake, WI to Robert and Elizabeth (Ellingson) Avery. Lee grew up working on the family farm which he later took over and ran for several decades.
He was married on December 17, 1977 to Pam Butzler.
Lee loved hunting, fishing, auction hunting, and was a top notch B.S.er. He enjoyed shooting pool with the pool team at Skiddies. He loved his family and the adventures they had together. "You know as well as I do", Lee and his "Leeisms" will be deeply missed. "True story "
He is survived by wife, Pam; children: Renae (John) Anderson, Ryan (Sarah) Avery, Kevin (Terese) Avery, and Rob (Celina) Avery; grandchildren: Taylor (Damion) Blechinger, Kailey Breault, Lily Avery, MyKayla Anderson, and Lucas Anderson; mother, Elizabeth Avery; siblings: Pam (Dan) Schullo, Van Avery, and Nancy (Larry) Grover; nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends. Lee was preceded in death by his father, Robert Avery.
Funeral services will be held at 4:30 PM Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at Skinner Funeral Home in Cumberland with Pastor Ken Mandley officiating. Burial will be in McKinley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4:30 PM. Following the service there will be a luncheon.
