Lee Armstead Barclay, Jr., 77 of Cookeville, Tennessee departed from this life on Friday, December 24, 2021, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, Tennessee.
Lee was born Tuesday, May 23, 1944, in Opelika, Alabama, he was the son of the late Lee Armstead Barclay, Sr., and the late Lucille (Lancaster) Barclay.
Lee is survived by, Wife of 49 Years, Judy M. Barclay.
Lee chose cremation, the family followed his wishes and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Defenders of Wildlife, Nature Conservancy, or the Putnam County Animal Shelter Spay & Neuter Clinic.

Lee, I wish we had chatted one more time before you passing, although it had been decades ago when you left California and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. We kept your present, TipToes the mud turtle, for decades after you and Judy left California. That was just one more critter that wouldn't fit in your car as your headed east. Judy, If I can't fine a phone number, at least I have an address and will drop you a note soon. I hope your remember Sheila and me.

I am so sorry to hear of Lee´s passing. He was a Master´s student of mine back in the 1970´s at Samford University. He and I published a paper on Locust Fork Fishes. He was a good friend and I will miss him even though I´ve not seen him for many years.
