Obituary provided by the family of Lee Booyer...

Lee Booyer, a lifelong resident of Neosho, Missouri, was called home to heaven on August 21, 2025, at the age of 63.

Born on October 16, 1961, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Lee grew up in Neosho and graduated from Neosho High School in 1979, where he proudly played basketball for the Wildcats. He remained a true Wildcat at heart throughout his life.

Lee was known for his deep love of the land and was an avid farmer who found joy in tending to his cows and working on the farm. For 34 years, he faithfully served his community through his work with the Newton County Common Road District. His dedication, reliability, and generous heart left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his loving mother, Ramona Dilday; his brothers Tim (Deanna), Rick (Carissa), and Shawn (Mary Ann) Dilday; Children Sheldon Booyer, Cassie Price, Whitney (Clint) Worley eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and his lifelong companion, Cindy. Lee cherished his family deeply and always looked after those he loved.

A man of quiet faith, Lee was introduced to his church family at Seneca Baptist Church and was saved on June 25. He took great pride in serving on the Belfast Baptist Cemetery Board, where he honored the memory of loved ones-especially his beloved grandparents, Grandma and Granddad McCaffree.

Lee lived a life of service, humility, and unwavering kindness. He always looked out for others-and those who knew him will forever feel his presence and protection from above.

A funeral service will be held on August 27, 2025 at 1:00pm at Seneca First Baptist Church. Burial following at Belfast Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Belfast Baptist Cemetery Fund, in honor of Lee's love for family and community.

Services are under the personal care and direction of Clark Funeral Homes, Neosho, Missouri.
