On Wednesday, December 14, 2022, Henry Lee Chenault, beloved partner and adored father of six, passed away at the age of 75. Dr. Lee Chenault was a compassionate and dedicated veterinarian with a fourth generation of clientele and fur babies that he treasured and loved like family.
He enjoyed the outdoors, from fishing and hunting with family to survivalist activities, gardening, farming and carpentry. His faith in Jesus Christ and strong belief in a universal goodness touched the lives of many people and is carrying his family through this difficult time.
We will be having a small memorial service for family on Sunday, December 18th. Thank you to all for your prayers and well wishes, he will be greatly missed by many. We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Dr Chenault was one of a kind - he was my vet from the early 1980s until his passing, there will never be another vet who had as much love and compassion for the animals and the owners of the pets he treated. I think of him daily still. He never turned down an animal if the owner was short on money, he saved so many broken hearts and left a huge hole in our hearts. He was extremely smart and never insisted unnecessary treatments . I know heaven gained a Angel the day he left our lives.

Dr Chenault was the very best I have ever had and it was only for a short period. He saved our old English sheepdog who was only about 6 months old from dying of parvo. Luka is happy and healthy and I owe it all to Dr Chenault. He felt so bad for Luka he didn´t even charge me for our visits on the way to recovery. He was the kindest, most gentle and had a heart of gold for animals. My luka loved him dearly. The world lost a great doctor when they lost him. Rest in peace, prayers to his wife and kids,

Our names are Julie Anast, Carol Giermann, Stoney, Lulu and Pepper from Quitman, Texas. My mom, Carol Giermann, passed away last May 1st and after that I moved to Colorado to live with my daughter. I have meant to call Dr. Chenault many times to let him know this, as I did not want him to think that we had started going to someone else. In fact, we all drove from Quitman just so that we could take our beloved dogs to Dr. Chenault. He called us his Quitman gang and his country dogs. He was the best vet that we had ever taken our animals to, and we have had plenty of animals in our lifetime. I am so sorry that I procrastinated for so long to to tell him and his amazing staff about my mom and about having to move to Colorado. We are all so very very saddened to hear that Dr. Chenault has passed away. With love, Julie, Carol, Stoney, Lulu and Pepper... Forever his Quitman Gang

Dr. Chenault cared for our family pets since the early 80's. He was such a excellent veterinarian. When I moved out on my own I continued to bring my fur babies to him. You could see he genuinely cared about them and was very loving to them. I will forever be grateful for everything he has done for us over the years. My condolences to his family and his staff. Thank You Dr. C for taking care of my girls. You will be missed. Rest in Peace.

One of the kindest persons I have ever known. Dr. Chenault was the only vet we have ever had. When our 16 year old Labrador was so sick Dr. Chenault was very gentle and caring. Our dog had cancer in her eye and was losing her hair all over. Dr. Chenault continue to tell her she was beautiful and made her so comfortable up until her death. He made a huge impact on our family. He did leave the world a better place.
