Lee Matthew DuBrey, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2024, at his home in Plattsburgh, NY. He was born on July 9, 1971, in his hometown of Plattsburgh. Lee, a kind and compassionate soul, always had a joke ready to make those around him smile. His love for role-playing games and football, particularly his favorite team the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, brought joy into his life.

Lee formed close bonds with his coworkers throughout the years. His tall stature made him the perfect candidate to hold a piñata at a party, though his nieces and nephews didn't hesitate to playfully hit him in their excitement.

Despite his preference for solitude, Lee had a commitment to helping others in need, showcasing his selfless nature. He cherished his family dearly, especially his nieces and nephews, and maintained a tight-knit circle of friends whom he valued deeply.

He was preceded in death by his parents Victor and Patricia DuBrey; his sisters Brenda Clukey and Michelle LaGoy; and his brother-in-law Richard Wilson.

Lee leaves behind his cherished family members, including his siblings Jane (Michael, Sr.) Venne, Victor DuBrey, Jr., Amy DuBrey-Wilson, and Mark (Cynthia) DuBrey; his aunts Viola O'Neil and Barbara Desimone; his brothers-in-law Lloyd Clukey and Wayne LaGoy; and his sister-in-law Tina Manion McGee; along with an extended list of relatives and friends whom he held close to his heart.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Lyon Mountain with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Interment will take place at St. Bernard's Cemetery following the services.

In honoring his memory, let us gather together to celebrate the life of a remarkable man who brought laughter and love into the lives of all who knew him. Rest in peace, Lee Matthew DuBrey. Your kindness will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
