Deanna LeClair Obituary
She was born in Plattsburgh, August 28, 1971, the daughter of Candace Morrow and the late Michael Smith, Sr. Deanna grew up in Clintonville and graduated from AuSable Valley High School in 1989. She later graduated from Our Lady of Victory in Plattsburgh.
She was a secretary and bookkeeper for 28 years, for several local fuel companies including Francis F. Bezio, Heritage Fuel, and lastly AmeriGas. She was also a longtime bookkeeper for Friends of the North Country.
Deanna enjoyed fishing, hunting, yardwork, cooking, and spending time with family, especially her son.
Left to cherish the memory of Deanna are, her husband of 25 years (together 38), Donald E. LeClair, Jr., whom she married April 8, 2000 in St. John's Church in Keeseville; son, Donald E. LeClair, III; her siblings, Michael H. Smith, Jr. (Darlene Doner), and Treena (Bradley) Hillborne; her mother, Candace Morrow (Arthur Mace); mother-in-law, Ramona LeClair; her siblings-in-law, Steven LeClair (Nikki Dumont), and Patricia LeClair; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father, Michael H. Smith, Sr., June 7, 2014; and her father-in-law, Donald E. LeClair, Sr., March 24, 2024.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 11 to 1 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:30 PM at the Keeseville VFW Post 1505.
Donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru, 518-643-9055.
