Lee Harris Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Callaham-Hicks Funeral Home on Jan. 9, 2026.
Lee Anthony Harris was born, on September 21, 1967, to Mary Louise Harris Davis and the late Olin Smith. He was educated in the Spartanburg County School District and later became a dedicated employee of Spartanburg Regional Medical Center and Ryan's Steakhouse.

Lee was known for his infectious humor and lively personality. A natural jokester, he loved to make people laugh and never met a stranger. Music was a big part of his life, especially the soulful sounds of Earth, Wind & Fire. During his high school years, Lee played football and maintained a lifelong passion for fitness, enjoying weightlifting and boxing. He was also an avid sports fan, proudly supporting the Miami Dolphins and the Los Angeles Lakers. His favorite color was purple, a reflection of his vibrant spirit.

Lee was a faithful member of Chestnut Ridge AME Zion Church, where he found spiritual grounding and fellowship.

He was preceded in death by his father, Olin Smith; his grandparents, Beulah Harris and James "Redcap" Harris; and his aunt, Peggy Ferguson.

Left to cherish his loving memory are his children, Sirquantis Harris, Anthony Lee (Marquita) Harris, and Makalah Harris, all of Spartanburg, SC; his mother, Mary Louise Harris Davis of Spartanburg, SC; his sister, Alicia Parks-Wilkes of Spartanburg, SC; his aunt, Margaret Smith of Spartanburg, SC; his uncles, Terry Scurry and Jeffrey Scurry, both of Spartanburg, SC; his grandchildren, Kyla Gray, Princeton Harris, Zion Snoddy, and Honor Kennedy; his former wife, Lisa Harris Lyles; his special friend, Takela Harris Kennedy; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

On Tuesday, January 6, 2026, Lee Anthony Harris transitioned peacefully at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his laughter, love, and larger-than-life presence.
