Lee Roy Hefner

Lee Roy Hefner, age 84, of Dalton, passed away Friday, October 17, 2025 at his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommie Lee and Irene Hefner; his wife, Martha "Marie" Hefner; son, Dwayne Hefner; sisters, Daisy Bagby, Patricia Hefner, Brenda Miller, Linda Ann Hefner; brothers, Thad Hefner, Byron Hefner.
Lee Roy was a member at Concord Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He enjoyed farming, gardening and spending time with his family that he loved very much.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Ira and Lynn Hefner, Marty and April Hefner, Gary and Cyndi Hefner; daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Ricky Smith, Lynette and David Ogle; sisters and brother-in-law, Dianne and Leonard Caylor, Minnie Gorham; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy and Angela Hefner, Roy and Dorris Hefner, Robert and Diane Hefner; grandchildren, Grace and Josh Key, Noah Hefner, Blake and Abby Hefner, Daniel and Veronica Miller, Melissa Hefner, Mattie and Robbie Chase, Amber Hefner, Andrea Smith, Beth Allen, Trent Smith, Hannah Ogle, Cole Ogle; great-grandchildren, Raven Miller, Caroline Key, Amelia Key, Everett Key, Sophie Hefner, Colt Ridley, Emma Chase, Sawyer Chase, Lacey Hefner. Several nieces and nephew also survive.

A funeral service will be held at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 4:00 PM with Rev. Scott Hale officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 2:00 PM until the service hour of 4:00 PM.
Burial will be held in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
