Lee Oscar Lindsay Jr. passed away in Tooele, Utah, on October 14, 2025, at age 72.
Lee was born on December 22, 1952, to Lee Oscar Lindsay Sr. and Iva Jane Cunningham Lindsay at the Florence Nightingale Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Lee was raised in Irving, Texas. Lee met and married Jane Baxter (later divorced) in Japan while they were both serving in the U.S. military. Lee and Jane had four children. Following his service in the Marine Corps, Lee moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, near his wife's family, but remained a Texan at heart. Lee was a South Salt Lake City Police Officer and retired from the State of Utah as a Corrections Officer where he was the academy firearms Range Master. Lee was in a committed relationship with Gina Bradshaw before her passing in 2024.
Lee is survived by children, Stephanie (Scott) MacDonald, Mary (JD) Vonk, Lee (Crissy) Lindsay, and Kirsten Stringham; three grandchildren, Logan Vonk, Mason Lindsay, and Brooklyn Lindsay; sister, Jackie March.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Dorothy Lee Lindsay and Emily Wilkin; and partner, Gina Bradshaw.
A visitation will be held at Tate Mortuary, 110 South Main Street, Tooele, Utah, on Saturday, October 25, from 1-2 p.m. Interment will be at the Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park during a private family service.

I worked with Lee for several years at the training academy. He was a great instructor. We had so many fun times and wonderful memories. I will always remember him. Rest in peace my friend!! Love you.
