Lee Richey-Strube passed away on October 12, 2025 at the age of 78 years old. She was at home and at peace.
Lee loved a number of things but most important were her husband, family, cinnamon toast, coffee, Neil Diamond, and Christmas.
Lee had a big heart and - in addition to her own family and pets - often fed the neighbors, neighborhood cats, random dogs, and the friends of her daughter. She found joy in driving with good music on the radio, decorating Christmas trees, getting her nails done, and making lists. She had perfect handwriting. Most important to her kids - she baked carrot cakes and chocolate chip cookies like a pro. She fully supported the dreams of her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews - and felt great pride in sharing their accomplishments with friends and neighbors.
Lee was a caregiver at heart and participated in many charitable and support organizations such as: The Patriot Guard, Campbell Williams VFW Auxiliary Post 4458 in Caldwell, ASPCA, Humane Society, and The Salvation Army.
Lee's contributions and accomplishments are too great to fully list. She was fully loved, will be terribly missed, deeply cherished, and always remembered.
She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her. Proverbs 31:25,28
There is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we're apart... I'll always be with you." A.A. Milne, Winnie The Pooh
Lee Richey-Strube is survived by: Her ride or die husband Kenneth Strube, Daughter and Favorite Son - Shannon Richey & Brad Shelton, Step-son & Daughter: Jimmy & Kelly Strube, Grandchildren: Garrett & Sawyer, Sister and Brother-in-law: Kyle & Rocky Burgess, Nieces & Nephews: Alaina, Sarah, Melissa, Bryce, Christian, Allison, Madison, & Charlotte, (Favorite) Niece & Nephew: Jessi & David Johnson, Great niece & nephew: Grey & Bonnie, Step-Daughter & Step-son: Colette & Mauricio Abascal, Grandchildren: Francisco, Domingo, Mary Elizabeth, Clara, Teresa, Stephen, & Gerard
