Lester Lee Roberts was born on May 21, 1961, in Mendenhall, MS to Lester and Mary Louise East Roberts. A graduate of West Union High School in Georgetown, MS, Lee had recently retired from the City of Magee as the Supervisor of Parks and Recreation Maintenance after over 18 years of dedicated service. His family remarks that he not only enjoyed hunting and fishing, but also liked to watch football and wrestling on television. However, Lee's greatest love was his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He was of the Baptist faith.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Mary Louise Roberts and his brother, Johnny Roberts.
His memory will forever be cherished by his daughter, Latasha Roberts Ward (Brian) of Columbia; 3 sisters, Brenda Kirkley (Hoss) of Prentiss, Neddie Smith (David) of Mendenhall and Faye McGowan of Magee. The legacy of their Pawpaw Lee will also live on through his granddaughter, Aubrey Ward and his grandson, Caden Ward, both of Columbia.
