Lee Francis Rouse
July 13, 1934 – December 20, 2025
Born to Jasper Griffith & Helen Munson
Our Mother and Grandma, Lee Francis Rouse, lived a life that showed us what it truly means to love God and love people. She stored all her riches in heaven, and we know she is God's most favorite daughter-because somehow, she made each and every one of us feel like we were her most favorite.
She didn't just teach us about God's love-she lived it every day. Each morning, she would wake up with her Bible and a worn spiral notebook, a strong cup of coffee by her side. Inside that notebook were names-our names, our friends' names, even names of people we had long forgotten. But she never forgot them. She prayed over them faithfully, believing with her whole heart in the power of prayer. She would write our names into Scripture because she said God's Word carries promise, protection, and authority. And when she prayed, she prayed out loud-with conviction, confidence, and unwavering faith.
She worked hard her entire life and cared deeply about everyone around her. Church and Women's Aglow meetings filled her heart, and her faith was something she carried with joy. She loved KFC fried chicken-though we all know that love only began after Izzy's Buffet closed. That was just part of her charm.
Grandma had a gift. She made people feel seen, important, and deeply loved. Those who knew her often said she never had a negative thing to say and always brought light into a room. She was a true sweetheart-hardworking, kind, and a joy to be around. She loved her family fiercely and worried about each of us, but no matter how much she worried, she prayed even harder.
She is survived by her daughter Rosalee Driver and her husband Ted Driver; grandchildren Timothyand Anna, and a grandson Thomas Driver, who preceded her in death.
She is also survived by her son John Sellberg and daughters Natasha, Elysia, Katrina, and Cheriese; grandchildren Kristina Barela, Desmond, Alexander, Tehya, Kahli West, Jasper Hobbs, Nevaeh, ShawnA, Rowzae, and Valor; and great-great-grandchildren Jacoby, Lilyanna, Kaiden, and Brandon.
She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Hartung and her husband Brian.
She was preceded in death by her son Dean Sellberg, who is survived by his daughter Raeann Perez, her husband Kelvin Perez, grandchildren Angelina Blancas, Esperanza Perez, Kelvin Perez II, Francisco Perez, Kai Perez, and great-great-grandchild Andreas Xavier Roa.
Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our beautiful mother and grandmother, but we are comforted knowing she is exactly where she longed to be-in the presence of her Savior. The prayers she prayed over us continue to cover us, and her legacy of faith, love, and kindness lives on in each of us.
Scripture
"Well done, good and faithful servant Enter into the joy of your Lord."
- Matthew 25:23
