Lee Avery Stidom, age 67, of Williamsburg, WV, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, December 18, 2025.
Born on March 29, 1958, in Williamsburg, West Virginia, Lee was the beloved son of the late Abe and Mable Scott Stidom.
Lee dedicated many years of service to Aviagen, where he was a valued and respected member of the team. He was especially proud of his site 6 family at Aviagen, who became like a second family to him.
Lee’s legacy is carried on by his devoted wife, Betty J. Hambrick Stidom, and his children: sons Michael Hambrick (Jessica), Shawn Hambrick, Walter “Peewee” Hambrick, and Clyde Hambrick (Delaney), and daughter Jodie Bostic (Cecil Strader). He was a cherished grandfather to Josie, Mabel, Henderson, Brooklyn, Nataleigh, Elijah, Aiden, and River.
He is also survived by his sister, Phyllis Nickel (John), special nephews, Joey Daniels and William Hambrick, Jr., and several nieces and nephews. Lee’s love for his family extended to his canine companions, Elvis, Sky, Lilly, and Little Man, who brought him much comfort and joy.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Abe and Mable Stidom, and siblings Diane Scott, Theda Sizemore, Bobbi Sizemore, Elizabeth Jane Tincher, Clyde Scott, and Henry Scott.
A man of tremendous heart and kindness, Lee’s memory will be cherished by all who knew him. He will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his unwavering work ethic, and the warmth he shared with everyone around him.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the Morgan Funeral Home with Chris Dunbar officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, December 26, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in the New Salem Cemetery, Williamsburg, WV.
