Lee Edward Streety was born on December 13, 1949, in Tyler, Alabama, to the late

Johnnie and Ruthie Mae Streety. At a young age, he confessed Christ and became a

member of Sand Grove Baptist Church in Tyler, Alabama. Lee received his education in

the Dallas County School System and graduated from Tyler Union High School. After

relocating to Birmingham, Alabama, he began working at Birmingham Stove and

Range. He later married the love of his life, Dianne Williams- Streety Together, Lee

and Dianne joined Bethel Baptist Church under the leadership of T.L. Lewis.

Lee was a dedicated and hardworking man. He faithfully worked at Shaw as a forklift

driver and later retired as a supervisor. He took great pride in providing for his family

and carried a strong work ethic throughout his life. In his spare time, Lee enjoyed

gardening, yard work, and exercising. He was an avid fan of the Los Angeles Lakers

and loved traveling with his beloved wife. He found joy in life's simple pleasures and

truly cherished the time he spent with family and friends.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Ruthie Mae Streety; and three

brothers, Lee Andrew Green Sr., Milton Green Sr, and Henry Streety Sr. .Lee departed

this life on February 27, 2026. He leaves to cherish his precious memory: his devoted

wife, Dianne Williams-Streety; his daughter, Pauline H. Moppins (Chris); his sisters,

Ceola (Kevin) Wyatt and Rosie Lee Streety (Mae); one granddaughter, Kateena Hall;

three great-grandchildren; one beloved uncle, Kit (Louiza) Greene; sisters-in-law, Julia

Mae Green, Mildred Green, and Rosie Hall Streety; and a host of nieces, nephews,

extended family members, and dear friends and three bonus children.
