Mr. Leif Allen Chaney

Leif Allen Chaney, age 23, of Mena passed away December 22, 2012 in Mena. He was born December 12, 1989 in Mena, Arkansas to Robert Watts and Wendy Chaney Watts. He was a member of the United States Army National Guard. Leif loved to hunt and fish was a loving son, brother, step-brother, uncle, nephew and friend. Survivors are: Parents: Robert Watts of Mena, Arkansas Wendy Watts of Mena, Arkansas Brothers: Chad Watts of DeQueen, Arkansas Tristen Watts of Mena, Arkansas Step-Sisters: Emily Echols of Mena, Arkansas Gracie Echols of Mena, Arkansas Nieces: Taylor Watts of Mena, Arkansas Raegan Watts of Mena, Arkansas Grandmother: Alice Gullick of Mena, Arkansas Step-Mother: Melissa Watts of Mena, Arkansas Special Aunts & Uncle: Dorothy and Aaron Pearson and their daughter Samantha of Mena, Arkansas Donna and Rickey Morse of Mena, Arkansas Christine Higgins of Mena, Arkansas A host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clayton and Mildred Chaney and Leonard Watts, and his uncle, Todd West. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Beasley-Wood Chapel with Reverend TJ Tipton officiating. Interment will follow in the Rocky Cemetery under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Visitation with family and friends will be Friday evening, December 28th , from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, weather permitting. Pallbearers are Frank Cude, Josh Bates, Country Hendershot, Micheal Spears, Preston Watts, Dougas Watts and Blaine Higgens.
