Leigh Roxanne Tillman Bodenheimer, 64, of Colfax, NC passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 27, 2025, at her home. She was born to the late Earl Hewett and Annie Tillman on January 5, 1961, in Forsyth County.

Leigh graduated in the class of 1979 from East Forsyth High School. She went on to attend nursing school at Forsyth Technical Community College. Leigh became a registered nurse in 1997 and continued to work throughout her career in healthcare until her retirement in 2022.

Leigh enjoyed antique automobiles for most of her life. Her and her husband, Mark were members of the Antique Automobile Club of America, Old Salem Chapter and Model A Restorers Club for 15 years. Leigh was also a member of the “Hat Ladies Club” and enjoyed time with the ladies as well as club lunches.

She had many hobbies such as traveling as a couple, throwing balls for the dogs, reading tons of books, and beekeeping. Although most of all she loved spending time with her family. Leigh spent much of her time with her four grandchildren who she loved to always include in her hobbies.

In addition to her parents, Leigh is preceded in death by her brother, Marty Hewett; and sister, Heidi Hewett.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Mark Bodenheimer; loving sons, Zachary Bodenheimer (Dale); and Austin Bodenheimer (Sarah); grandchildren, Brandon Bodenheimer, Lydia Bodenheimer, Theodore Bodenheimer, and Annie Bodenheimer; brother, Nicky Hewett; and numerous cousins and extended family members and friends.

The family will be receiving friends from 12:00pm to 2:00pm Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel, 3950 Macy Grove Rd, Kernersville, NC 27284. A graveside service will be held at 2:30pm on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 2817 Abbotts Creek Church Rd, High Point, NC 27265. The graveside service will be for immediate family and anyone who would like to attend.
