MADISON – Marita Carol Gregory, 56, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, surrounded by her family. Marita was born in Forsyth County on April 22, 1969. She worked for over 15 years at Hudson Automotive and attended The Crossing Church in Kernersville. She was most recently very proud of obtaining her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from UNC-Greensboro.
Marita loved crafting and traveling with family. Her joyful spirit and happy heart complimented her love for music and dancing. But the main focus of her heart was spending time with her family and grandkids – especially sharing with them her love of food and fellowship.
Marita was preceded in death by her father, Buford “PawPaw” Sadler; and grandparents, Lillie Mae and John Dewitt Thomas.
Surviving are her husband of 32 years, Dale Gregory; three daughters, Alexis Tilley (husband, Bray), Madison Hodges (husband, Jarrett), and Victoria Gregory (fiance’, Weston Hughes); two grandchildren, Braxton and Georgia Tilley; her mother, Carol Sadler; and her mother-in-law, Norma Gregory.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Chris Booth officiating.
