Rickie Lane Gregory, age 64, of Columbia, Missouri, formerly of Brashear and Edina, passed away on November 6, 2025, in Columbia, Missouri. He was born on March 9, 1961, in Kirksville, Missouri, the son of the late James Vern and Garnett Lillian (Grubb) Gregory of Brashear.

Rick attended Brashear Grade School and was a member of the Brashear High School Class of 1979. Over the years, he worked for the City of Edina, and served as the Knox County Clerk, North East Regional Planning in Memphis, and also did bookkeeping for Pizza Haus and Ron York Trucking.

Rick had a kind and easygoing spirit. He enjoyed collecting all sorts of things, had a true green thumb, and loved tinkering with his tools. While living in Edina, he could often be found visiting with friends—whether sharing a laugh at the Blue Room or stopping by their houses. He was also a former member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #414.

Rick is survived by his faithful fur buddy, Wilber the cat; nieces and nephews, Tim, Todd, Trent, Travis, Tammy, and Treva; and sisters-in-law, Norma and Kathy Gregory. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Chet, Doug, and Darrell Gregory.

Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Playle-Rimer-Millard Funeral Home in Kirksville, Missouri.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to Houser-Millard Funeral Directors to assist with funeral expenses.

Rick will be remembered for his friendly nature, his love for simple joys, and the special way he cared for the people and animals around him.
