Countryside Funeral Home - AnthonyMilton Scott Gregory, age 75, of Ocala, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 5, 1950, in Gainesville, Florida, he was the cherished son of Howard and Shirley Gregory. He was a proud graduate of Ocala High School, where he played football for the Wildcats.
In 1982, he met the love of his life, Peggy, and the two were married the following year. With their marriage, Milton joyfully stepped into the role of husband, father, and devoted family man—roles he cherished for the rest of his life.
Throughout his career, Milton worked in sales with several companies, including Cone Distributing, Flowers Bread Company, Schwann’s, and Deconna Ice Cream. After semi-retiring, he continued to serve his community as a bus driver for Labor Finders.
Milton never met a stranger and found his greatest joy in the simple pleasures of life—going to the beach, camping, taking trips to the mountains, and spending time with family and friends. Above all, he loved cheering on his Florida Gators and spending time with his beloved grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Howard Scott Gregory; his mother, Shirley Swearingen Gregory; his brother, Howard Bishop Gregory; and his son, Daniel Travis Nowlin.
Left to treasure his memory are his loving wife of 42 years, Margaret “Peggy” Gregory; daughter, Katherine “Kathy” (Chad) House; son, Michael (Kim) Nowlin; brother, Donald “Buck” Gregory; sisters, Elise Palmieri and Connie Arevalo; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a large circle of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.
A celebration of life will be held on December 14th at 1:30 PM at Church of Hope. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Marion County. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home.
