Leigh A. Carpenter

Leigh A. Carpenter, 42, Wausau unexpectedly received her Angel Wings in the early hours of Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born on August 31, 1981 in Wausau to Carla (Wilde) Carpenter, Wausau and the late Bruce Carpenter. Leigh went to school in the Wausau area and enjoyed her large family and friends.
Due to Leigh's limited mobility, she enjoyed watching TV shows WWE, Bones and Family Feud. Leigh appreciated all the assistance in her care and always enjoyed the company. Thank you everyone who assisted, your generosity has not gone unnoticed.
Leigh is survived by her mother Carla, her sister Erin (Kurt) Yusten, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and second cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bruce Carpenter, grandparents, Hugo and Delores Carpenter and Alvin and Irma Wilde, aunts, Joan Carpenter, Sue Wilde, Patti Wilde and uncles Fred and Thomas Wilde, Michael Carpenter and a Cousin Andrew Wilde.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2024 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services all at the Sixth Street funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family will be establishing a scholarship in Leigh's name.
