Leigh Mosley Wainright, 66, of Nash County, passed away on September 9, 2025. She was born on July 9, 1959, to the late Donald Ray Mosley and Phae Ward. Leigh's life was one of love, kindness, and devotion to family, friends, and her community. She cherished her work family at Johnston Memorial Hospital and held a deep appreciation for the many relationships she built there. Her faithful German Shepherd, Blitz, was a constant companion and a beloved part of her life. She leaves to cherish her memory her sisters, Donna M. Robinson (Buster), Stacy M. Manning (Steve), and Lorraine M. Moss; her brother, Chris R. Mosley (Michelle); nieces, Sarah Bell (George), Kaytlyn Mosley, and Caroline Moss; nephews, Will Robinson, Evan Mosley (Hannah), Jacob Holland (Brooke), Caleb Mosley, and Brick Moss; great nephews, Wells Holland and Logan Bell; great- niece, Evie Mosely, that will be born in February. She will be remembered for her generous heart, her loyalty, and her love for both people and animals. A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 20, from 6:00–7:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local animal shelter in Leigh's honor.
