Leilani Jo Weaver (Loni) left the earth early on June 29 at 7:45 pm. She was 58. Loni was surrounded by her loving family and holding the hand of her treasured daughter, Katelyn Stone. Loni was a well-loved daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and mother. She said to all who came to see her off, "I Love you," closed her eyes and left.
Loni was the youngest of five children born to Jim & Donna Weaver in Reno, Nv. Loni's kindness was legendary among her family and friends. Her siblings would agree that she was the most loved. Loni started her career at the first Ross department store in the area, where she befriended long-term customers. One of them was Rose, who hired her to the social work board as an administrative assistant, where she served for 16 years making many friends and acquaintances, including the worksite dog Jacob, who she loved walking and giving treats. Loni never met a cat she didn't like and left behind Callie, who is well cared for by her beautiful and only child Katelyn Stone. Loni's partner Robert Plant attended high school with her, but they met for the first time 30 years later and went on to share six wonderful years of travel, adventuring, and volunteering.
With her beloved daughter Katelyn, Loni's memory is embraced by her siblings Brenda Weaver, Celeste Koehler, and Jon Weaver; nieces Shawna, Brittany & Madeline Weaver & Kylie Koehler; nephews Zac, Clay, & Blake Weaver, Keegen Koehler and their spouses. Loni was predeceased by her husband Tom Stone; brother Randy Weaver; both parents Jim & Donna Weaver; and sister-in-law Elaine Weaver.
Loni's short, well-lived life leaves her family and friends with fond and colorful memories. The family would like to invite her friends to attend her life celebration at Mountain View Mortuary, 425 Stoker Ave., Reno on July 22nd at 10 am.
