Martin Funeral Home, Inc. - ClantonLela Frances Higgins, 83, of Thorsby, Alabama passed away October 10, 2025, at her residence in Thorsby, AL.
She was born May 31, 1942, in Alabama, daughter of the late Harvey Wilkins and the late Evelyn Wilkins.
She was a Bookkeeper, and longtime member of Mt. Carmel #1 Baptist Curch, where she dedicated much of her time. Her family was her pride and joy and loved them very deeply.
Surviving are her Daughters, Pamela Walker, Debby Higgins; Son, David (Vicky) Higgins; Granddaughter, Aleigha (Jacob) McCormick; Grandson, Zachary (Kaylee) Higgins; Step-Granddaughters, Jessica Lowery, Tina Walker; Great-Granddaughter, Wrenlee Higgins; Step-Great Granddaughter, Rylie Lowery.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Odell Woodrow Higgins, Jr.; Father, Harvey Wilkins; Mother, Evelyn D. Wilkins; Son-in Law, Charlie Walker.
Friends will be received Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel #1 Baptist Church.
Services will be held Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel #1 Baptist Church.
Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Baptist #1 Cemetery, Thorsby, Alabama.
