Lela Darlene Widowski

Lela Darlene Widowski, age 94, of Barnett, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at her home. She was born December 27, 1929, in Moniteau County, daughter of the late John Leonard and Margaret Ruth (O'Neal) Dowell.
On August 6, 1960, she was united in marriage to Melvin Darrel Widowski who preceded her in death on May 13, 1993.
Darlene enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening, fishing and picking up walnuts. She loved all animals, especially her dog, Rosie.
She is survived by many family members she considered children and grandchildren; her brother, Kenny Dowell and wife Donnice of Madison, Missouri; her sister, Neva Bieri of Eldon, Missouri and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 28th, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles with Curvin Zimmerman officiating. A private graveside service and interment will be held in the Eldon Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to an animal shelter of the donor's choice.
