Leland Jonason Obituary
Survived by loving children, Chase Jonason (Katie) and Erin Chapin (Eric) and his energetic grandchildren, Chase Jr (4), Elle (2), and Brooks (5 months) Jonason & Hannah (4) and Hugh (1) Chapin.
Buzz was born in St. Peter, MN (son, of Bernice R. Murray) and spent his formative years on his family's farm. He graduated with a BA from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1966 and proceeded to have a career in Sales and Real Estate.
He had a big personality and would strike up a conversation with anyone. His greatest joys in life were his children and grandchildren. He was so proud of them all and thought his grandchildren were just "THE BEST!" He loved horses, dogs, classic cars, black coffee, ice cream, and frequenting the Minnesota State Fair. He also enjoyed music. He was always up for a Beach Boys concert and at Christmas, he loved listening to John Denver and Gene Autry.
We find peace in knowing that Chase, Erin, and the wonderful staff at J.A. Wedum Residential Hospice were committed and attentive to him in his final moments. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Allina Hospice Home Foundation.
Funeral will be at Scandian Grove Lutheran Church in rural St. Peter, MN on October 7, 2023, with a visitation at 10:00 am and service at 11:00 am (followed by lunch).
