Leland Euclid "Lee" Jubert, 91, formerly of 15 Lynn Avenue, Plattsburgh, and more recently of Route 11, Mooers, died Friday, April 11, 2025, at the UVM Health Network, CVPH, with his loving family by his side.
He was born in West Chazy, September 10, 1933, the son of Fred and Leora (LaPier) Jubert.
Lee proudly served with the United States Navy during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1955.
He became a barber in 1959 and worked at the Plaza Barbershop in Plattsburgh for 50 years prior to 10 years of barbering out of his home. He retired in 2020.
Lee loved all sports but especially basketball which he played all through school. The New York Knicks was his favorite team.
He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed ice fishing, duck hunting, and training his black labs.
Left to cherish the memory of Lee are, his daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Randall Nephew of Mooers; grandchildren, Joel (Patty) of Oswego, Alicia of Altona, Lauralee (Jeremy) of Mooers Forks; Bruce (Makayla) of Plattsburgh, and Morgan of Chateaugay; great-grandchildren, Cassidy (Jayden) of Oswego, Ava of Mooers Forks, Koby of Altona, and Layla and Ella of Plattsburgh; siblings, Carolyn Turner of Rouses Point, and Janet Stokes of Rouses Point; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Karen DeCoste his brothers, Norman and Roland (Barbara); and brother-in-law, Mason Stokes.
At Lee's request there will be no public services. Entombment will be held at a later date in the Town of Ellenburg Mausoleum.
Donations in his memory may be made to the North Country Honor Flight.
