Leland Keith Prigmore, known affectionately as Lee to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2024, in his hometown of Bakersfield, California. Born on June 8, 1963, to Junior and Carrie, Lee was a lifelong resident of Bakersfield, where he cultivated a life rich in love, kindness, and friendship.
A proud graduate of East High School, Lee was known for his unwavering dedication to his family and his ability to light up a room with his friendly demeanor. He met the love of his life, Margaret, and together they built a beautiful family, including their daughters Kathy and Jessica. The joy of his life was further multiplied by the arrival of his eight cherished grandchildren, who will carry forward his legacy of love and kindness.
Lee's brothers, Robbie and Terry Prigmore, will fondly remember their brother's generous spirit and the countless memories they shared. As the cornerstone of the Prigmore family, Lee's passing leaves behind a profound void, but his influence will continue to be felt through the values he instilled in all who knew him.
Those who had the pleasure of knowing Lee will recall a man who was the epitome of loving, kind, and friendly. His presence was a comfort, his laughter contagious, and his willingness to lend a hand was unmatched. Lee's interests were simple yet profound; he found his greatest pleasure in the company of his family, especially his grandchildren, with whom he shared his gentle wisdom and boundless affection.
Lee's life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family. He was a man who knew the value of a kind word, the strength of a gentle touch, and the significance of being there for those in need. His character was marked by a quiet strength and a resilience that inspired those around him.
As we bid farewell to Leland Keith Prigmore, we celebrate a life that was lived with purpose and joy. We will remember Lee not just for the moments he shared with us but for the warmth and love that he brought into our lives. His memory will be treasured, his contributions to our lives immeasurable, and his spirit forever a guiding light.
In honor of Lee's memory, let us hold our loved ones a little closer, speak words of kindness a little more often, and remember that the simplest joys in life are the most precious. Lee's journey on this earth may have come to an end, but his story will continue to be written in the hearts of those he touched.
The Prigmore family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the Bakersfield community for their support during this time. Lee's life will be celebrated privately, in accordance with his wishes, surrounded by the family and friends he held so dear. His legacy of love and friendship will endure, a beacon of light for all who had the privilege of knowing Leland Keith Prigmore.
