Mrs. Lelia B. Adams was on December 25, 1937; She's the only child to the late Mr. Cleophus Nance and Anna Cora Dudley Brown in Scott, Georgia. Mrs. Lelia B. Adams graduated from Oconee High School class of 1957 in Dublin Georgia
Mrs. Lelia B. Adams met the love and the only love of her life Mr. Willie M. Adams Jr. (Sgt.). They were married September 30, 1959. Until his transitioned they were for 51years In this union came three children. Angelyn Letitia Adams, Willie M. Adams III and Jeanolyn Letitia Adams. Mrs. Lelia B. Adams was attentive to her husband and children and grandchildren
Mrs. Lelia B. Adams was a member of Monument of Faith COGIC and served as an assistant church mother and a Missionary. Mother Adams had a passion for going to church, loving on people and definitely being the first one on the 6am prayer line.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her children Angelyn "Ann" Pitman (Kurtis AKA "Buddy"), Willie M. Adams III (Cynthia), Missionary Jeanolyn "Jean" Adams, and step son Steve Boozer; all of her grandchildren, Sydney "Dimples" Adams, Kennedria "Kee Kee" Adams, Willie M. Adams IV and their mother Gloria Jean; Angel Houston (Justin), Rolinda Callahan, Rolland Callahan; Great grandchildren, Enrico Callahan, Justin Houston Jr., Austin Houston, Keylin Houston, Davin Phillips and Donavin Phillips; God Daughters Missionary Monica Spann and Sister Coretta Coleman, Cousins Augusta Griggs Jr, John Lee Griggs Keith Griggs Sr. and Pastor Mary Jefferies, Sister- in- laws Linda Lou McNair (Leroy), Helen Baker and brother- in- law Gene Adams and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mother Lelia Adams life will continue to live through so many including her church family Pastor Dr. Sharon Dantzler, Mother Ernestine Hudson, Mother Pat, Assistant Pastor Aletha Muse, Assistant Pastor Elder Dijuante Evans, Elder Keane Daughtery (Lisa), Brother Joseph Talley, Sister Wilma Fludd, Bishop Calvin Smith, Elder Tyler and Chaplin Marquetta Teasley, Missionary Lisa Rainwater, Sister Jackie Savior, Mother Essie Hunter, Brother Derrick Dantzler, Daphane Rivers (Mama D), Sister Jeanette Young and the rest of Monument of Faith COGIC family.
In celebration of Lelia's remarkable life, services will be held on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm at Gregory B. Levett and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 4347 Flat Shoals Pkwy, Decatur, Ga. 30034. Interment Georgia National Cemetery; Mrs. Lelia will be laid to rest on Thursday, November 20th, 2025, with a ceremony from 11:00 am to 11:30 am, where she will join her beloved husband in eternal peace.
