A woman of deep faith, Gwen was a faithful member of Warren United Methodist Church of over 40 years, serving actively in the choir and the Wesleyans organization. Her bright light shines on through her beloved family: her son, Alvin F. Benton, Jr. (Amber Hall) of Frisco, Texas, and two cherished grandchildren, Harper and Kellen; and her daughter, Natasha Singleton, of Decatur, GA. She also leaves behind a host of loving "special sisters and brothers in love," many nieces, nephews, cousins, countless students and mentees who considered her a second mother. Her quiet strength, enduring wisdom, and infectious smile will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. A Memorial Service Celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Warren United Methodist Church 181 Joseph E. Lowery Blvd. SW Atlanta, GA.
