Lelia Suzanne Kirby, aged 60, passed away on June 12th, 2024, at her home in Cartwright, Oklahoma, surrounded by family.
Lelia was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on January 16th, 1964, to Robert Clifford Whinery and Shirley Jane Whinery. She attended Hobbs High School in the 80's before getting her GED and attending New Mexico Junior College. In the 90's, she worked at the Quick Quarter, printing newspapers.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Ray Kirby; parents, Clifford and Shirley Whinery; brother, Robert Laike Whinery; and nephew, Joshua David Fulkerson.
She is survived by her three children, Christopher (Jennifer) Maddox, Sara Mitchell, and Jessica (JayTee) Maddox, all of Cartwright, OK; five grandchildren, Alexander Kirby, Kailey Keith, Audrie Taylor, Danielle Taylor, and Isabella Taylor; sisters, Roberta Whinery of Hobbs, NM, and Pennie Fulkerson of Elgin, OK; brother, Clifton Whinery of Ypsilanti, MI; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
