I took his hand when I heard his call,
I turned my back and left it all.
Mr. Len Henderson age 92, of Warrenton, NC, departed this life Monday, August 7, 2023, at Durham Regional Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Boyd & Royster Funeral Service 149 Holland Bland Rd. Warrenton. Pastor Kevin Blalock will deliver the eulogy and interment will follow at 157 Whaley Dr. Warrenton.
Len leaves to cherish his memory: his lifelong companion of over 50 years, Lizzie Gilchrist, daughters Helen Gilchrist (George) and Sandra Hicks, and sister Naomi Terry. His grandsons Jarvis and Marquis Hicks, four beloved granddaughters that he raised as his own, Latwayna Hendricks, Chiquita Gilchrist (Tim), Katarra Williams (Peter), and Angel Gilchrist "da baby." His 13 great grandchildren; Kee-Kee, Kimjuan, John, Javonte, Antavius, Quante, Janequa, Javien, Cyril, Dhani, Jareim, Jikheim, and Iyla. Three great-great grandchildren; Zamari, Reya and Teigen. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
