Lena E. DeRollo
Frankfort - Lena E. DeRollo, 97, of Frankfort passed away Saturday, January 21, 2023 at home with her family by her side.
She was born in Frankfort on June 5, 1925, the daughter of the late James and Jennie Prestigiacomo Maneen. She attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort Schuyler High School with the class of 1943. She later attended and graduated from Utica School of Beauty Culture. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Sidney DeRollo on December 27, 1947 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Lena was a cosmetologist and the owner and operator of Mademoiselle Beauty Salon, Frankfort for many years. She was a dedicated communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and served on the Village of Frankfort Beautification Committee. All those who knew Lena, knew that her greatest joy was her family.
Lena is survived by beloved husband of 75 years, Sidney; her sons and daughters in law, Ronald and his wife, Terri DeRollo, Rocco DeRollo and his significant other, Mary Holmes, James and his wife, Diane DeRollo and Michael and his wife, Dorri DeRollo; her daughters and sons in law, Sydney and her husband, Mark Solomon, Susan DiSano and Bridget DeRollo; her cherished grandchildren, Lindsay DeRollo, Eric DeRollo, Carolee and her husband, Scott Whalen, Elena Green and her fiancée, Dr. Jeff Amidon, Rocco J. and his wife, Kerrie DeRollo, Robert DeRollo, Sophia DeRollo, Carl and his wife, Rachel DeRollo, Ryan DeRollo, Francesca DeRollo, Michael DeRollo, Melissa and her husband, Terry O'Brien, Janeen Muto, Christopher and his wife, Angie Muto, Joseph Muto, Rachael Solomon and her fiancée, Brady Osborne, Charles DiSano and Christina DiSano; fourteen great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her son, Robert DeRollo on April 13, 1986 and her sister, Rose Woodard.
Her funeral will be held Thursday morning, January 26, 2023 at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, S. Frankfort St. Frankfort where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul Catena. There will be no public calling hours. Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Ave., Frankfort.
