Lena Diane Hinton

Mrs. Lena Diane Hinton was born on October 13th, 1957, in Murfreesboro Tennessee. She was the 2nd of four children to Jody Miles Jr. and Elsie Lee Johnson. She departed this life on February 26th, 2023, at Saint Thomas Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Lena professed her faith in Jesus earlier in life at Lillard Methodist United Church in Murfreesboro, TN. She served in the choir during her younger life. She loved every minute of life. Even in hard times, she knew God will see you through one way or another. She often said, "where there is a will there is a way". She was fun loving, loved to crack jokes and laugh. She would encourage and motivate anyone that she talked to.
At an early age she met and married the love of her life, Dink Hinton of Christiana, Tennessee. They were married in 1973 and shared what would have been 50 years of marriage in 2023. Being a pillar of strength to the family; she often kept a check on everyone to ensure everybody was doing well. She knew everyone's number by heart and always made her rounds to reach out to family and friends. I'm sure that this worthy woman (Proverbs 31:10-31) now dwells in a restful mansion on the other side.
Lena was preceded in death by her father, Jody Miles, Jr..; mother, Elsie Lee Johnson; and sister, Clara Miles.
Lean Hinton leaves to cherish in memory: love of her life, best friend, caretaker, husband of 50 years Dink G. Hinton; three sons, Tyrone G. Hinton (Shannon), Chris Hinton, Lamar Hinton (Brandy); two brothers; Joe Miles III, Everette Miles (Elanor); one sister, Beverly (Betty) Johnson; brother-in-law Richard Hinton (Annette) sister-in-law, Katie Hinton; 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
