Lena May Mosley Hollen, a beloved figure in her community and a devoted family member, was born on May 11, 1951, in Clay County, Kentucky. She entered peacefully into rest on March 16, 2025, at her residence in Bear Branch, Kentucky. She was 73 years old.
Lena’s professional journey was marked by her role as the co-owner and operator of L&M Auto Sales, where she worked alongside her husband, John Ed Hollen. Her dedication to her business was matched only by her commitment to her family, and she embraced the role of a homemaker with love and devotion.
A woman of diverse interests, Lena found great joy in reading, particularly about health issues, and was an avid listener of Christian broadcasts. She cherished time spent with her family, understanding the importance of those relationships and the impact they create in our lives.
Lena is survived by her loving husband, John Ed Hollen; her son, Elbert Lee and Devona Hollen; stepson, John Hollen, Jr.; stepdaughter, Jessica Mosley; half-brother, Willie Mosley; and sisters, Edna Conrad and Geneva Blevins. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Jayden Lee Hollen, Kara Steely & Leanne and Josh Johnson; Great- grandchildren: Addison Steely, Esme Johnson, Cody Johnson, Gavin Hoskins, Reed Hoskins, and Carter Hoskins; as well as her step-grandchildren, Ethan and Samara, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
Lena was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Pearl Asher Mosley, along with her grandchild, Jacob Hoskins. She also mourned the loss of her siblings: Judy M., Stanley Mosley, Earl Mosley, Phronia Mosley, and Denver Mosley.
Lena May Mosley Hollen will be fondly remembered for her vibrant spirit, her unwavering faith, and her deep love for her family. Her life was a testament to the values she cherished, and she leaves behind a rich legacy of love and compassion that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Funeral: Monday, March 24, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at the Bear Branch Baptist Church, Bear Branch, Kentucky

Interment: Phillips Fork Cemetery, Beverly, Kentucky (Junction Hwy#66 & 1850)
Visitation: Sunday, March 23, 2025 at 6:00 P.M. at the Bear Branch Baptist Church
