Lendal O. Cupples

Lendal Orman Cupples, 83, of Parsons, TN, passed away Monday, March 30th, at Jackson-Madison Co. General Hospital.

He was born November 18, 1942 in Chester County to the late Bonnie and Louise Cupples. He was a retired building contractor and was a veteran of the Army National Guard where he served faithfully for over 23 years retiring with the rank of Sgt. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, he loved working and building, gardening, squirrel hunting and fishing.

Lendal is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Cupples, of Parsons; a daughter, Christie Cupples, of Parsons; a son, David (Brigette) Cupples, of Decaturville; two sisters, Susie (Tim) Nowell, of Jackson; Peggy (Jerry) Plunk, of Jackson; four brothers, Danny (Terry) Cupples, of Huntingdon; Mike (Kelly) Cupples, of Henderson; Ikie Cupples, of Henderson; Guy Cupples, of Henderson.
He is also survived by 6 Grandchildren - Shawn (Laurin) Cupples, of Pikeville, NC; Shayna Holmes, of Decaturville; Aleidra Brown, of Parsons; Jenly Cupples, of Parsons; Timmy (Heather) Cupples, of Henderson County; Amy Cupples, of Henderson County and several great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 2 sons - Billy Cupples and Sammy Hart, by 3 brothers, Ricky, Gary and Freddie Cupples and his parents.

His Funeral Servicewill be held at Reed's Chapel, Decaturville, TN, at 11 AM on Thursday, April 2nd, with Tracy McCormick officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in New Hope Cemetery in Decaturville.

Visitation is Wednesday 4 PM - 8 PM and Thursday 9 AM until service.
