Mrs. Lennis J. Scearce

1951 – 2025

Lennis J. Scearce, age 74 of Thorn Hill was born July 27, 1951 and passed away Moday, August 04, 2025 at home with her loving family by her side. She was a former Paramedic and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was saved at the age of 17 and was a member of the Beech Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her

Husband: John Lewis Scearce

Parents: Henderson and Ethel Atkins

Sons: John Lewis Scearce II, and Paul Edward Scearce

Sister: Shirley Mallicoat

She is survived by her

Daughter: BreAnna Scearce

Son: Sam Scearce (Heather)

Grandchildren: Jeffery Harvey (Samantha), Chelsey Scearce, Makale Jones (Derek), Katie Scearce, Jacklyn Scearce, Dylan Scearce, Logan Bailey (Courtney), Jessica Dalton (Jeremy)

Sister: Bernice Hurst and husband Wade,

Brothers: Dennis Atkins and wife Debbie, Clifford Atkins

11 Great Grandchildren

Several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends

Graveside Services

Will be conducted Saturday, August 09, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the Scearce – Lakins Cemetery with the Rev. Shawn Bolden officiating.

Pallbearers

Jeff Frye, Derek Jones, Jeffery Harvey, Kenny Scearce,

Pete Kerr, and Shawn Bolden.
