Lenora Marlene Rasmussen was born in Pendleton, Oregon to Raymond and Edna Roby Rasmussen on March 19, 1942. She passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026 in Nephi, Utah.
Graduated from Grant Union High School in John Day, Oregon, 1960. Attended Brigham Young University in 1960. Married Gerald M. Pochurek in 1962. They later divorced. Children born to this marriage are: Michael Pochurek St. James; Michelle (Curtis) Bray; Marsha (David) Lewis; Marina (Brent) Crowther; Mark Pochurek (deceased 2014) Married Paul R. Healey 17 March 1979 in Provo, Temple. His children are: Dale (Mindy); Calvin; Troy (Linda); Cory (Rosario); Pauline (Christopher) and Brandon (Faithanne).
Grandchildren are: Andrew, Ashley, Alex Lewis; Charlie Healey: Talon, Kiersten, Cache, Makell Crowther; Jaxon and Jordon Bray; Troy and Derik Healey; Camila and Alan Healey. Nicholas, Healey and Alexander Brown; Samantha and Brandon Jr. Healey. Nora joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in June 1959 at the age of seventeen in John Day, Oregon, and has always remained active. She is one of six siblings and the only member in her family.
Work experience consisted of sales, retail, insurance, and museum curation. Hobbies include honky-tonk, ragtime piano; charcoal drawing and painting; gardening; food preservation; singing; short story writing, poems, journal writing, camping, hiking, and giving dinner parties in her home. She played honky-tonk piano in the Old Capitol Fine Arts Festival for several years, and the Senior Citizen Center in Fillmore. Also, Millard County Fair in Delta. Genealogy and family research has been a life-long pursuit of hers and she compiled a large historical record book on the descendants of her mother's parents in 1998.
She and Paul served a full time mission in 2004-2006 to the Las Vegas North Nevada mission where they served as building and maintenance missionaries on a welfare cattle ranch for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Spring Valley, Nevada. Nora compiled a history of the ranch from its beginning to 2006, and helped restore the "Cleveland" cabin. The work was published.
They served a proselyting mission in Des Moines, Iowa from July 2006 to Dec. 2006 and then transferred to the Family and Church History Mission in Salt Lake City where they served in the Family History Library until June 2008. Here she researched her Danish ancestors with the assistance of library staff members.
Nora also served three stake missions and held many other callings in her wards throughout the years. She and Paul served together in the Baptistery in the Manti Temple one day a month for six years. Then they became ordinance workers for two and a half years. She loved her teaching positions in the organizations of her church. Nora and Paul have made their home in Fillmore, Utah since 1979, with the exception of 13 years living in the Salt Lake City and Kearns, Utah areas.
She is best known for her love of husband, children, grandchildren, close friends, ancestral genealogy research, honky-tonk ragtime piano playing, whole wheat bread, soups, gardening, volumes of journals, "dump and taste cook," and for her testimony of truth and loyalty to the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. through the Prophet Joseph Smith.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Olpin Stevens Funeral Home, Fillmore, UT. A visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
