Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home - Buffalo on Jan. 7, 2026.
Lenora Ellen Wallace, daughter of the late Clyde and Edith (Snodgrass) Blair, was born on June 1, 1936 in Elkland, MO and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 5, 2026 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. At the time of her passing she was 89 years, seven months, and three days of age. Lenora was raised near Elkland, MO and graduated from Elkland High School. She was united in marriage to Benjamin Harrison "B.H." Wallace on December 22, 1956 and to this union two daughters were born, Karen and Vicky. Lenora worked for Dallas County Schools as a Bus Driver for many years. She later worked for Wal-Mart as a Receiving Clerk. She enjoyed bowling, game nights with her friends, taking trips to Branson music shows, and was a thrift store shopper extraordinaire. She also loved her coffee, playing games and reading devotions on her iPad, watching old Westerns, and supporting Buffalo Athletics. Lenora was an excellent cook and was well known for her stews and soups, chicken and dumplings, taco salad, and banana pudding. She was a faithful member of the Calvary Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Buffalo, where she would always be found whenever the doors were open. Lenora was preceded in death by her husband B.H.; her parents; two brothers, Don Blair and Norman Blair; and one sister, Etta Ruth Cantrell. She is survived by her daughters, Karen & husband Dan Lombard of Bentonville, AR and Vicky & husband Bo O'Neil of Waynesville, MO; four grandchildren who knew her as Mema, Seth & wife Lindsey Lombard, Kelsey & husband Travis Blankenship, Linsey O'Neil, and Hunter O'Neil; three great-grandchildren, Easton Lombard, Isabella Lombard, and Jaxon O'Neil, and one more on the way; and one sister, Phyllis Browne of Lee's Summit, MO. She also leaves other family members, her church family, and many friends who will all truly miss her. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 12, 2026 in the Calvary Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Dr. Douglas Earls and Pastor Mark Elliott officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Monday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Calvary Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.
