Leo Day Obituary
He was born November 21, 1938, in Frederick County, Maryland, on the site which is now the Elk Run Winery.
He was the son of the late William Earl Day and the late Pearlie Mae Day (nee Wright).
Leo attended Mt. Airy High School; and was a self-employed builder/ carpenter; he loved to go trout fishing and deer hunting; also liked to watch NASCAR racing; and was a cat Dad with two cats, Rowdy and Levi.
Leo was the husband of Susan C. Day (nee Gray) for 39 years.
He was the father of Brenda Maness and husband Mike of Fairfield, PA, Diane Larmore and husband Jeff of Eldersburg, and Michael Day of Frederick, MD.
Also survived by 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School) on Sunday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM; where Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Bob Tousey officiating.
Interment will be in Taylorsville U.M. Church Cemetery in Taylorsville, MD
