Leo G. Frances, 95, of Hiram Twp., Ohio, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 22, 2026. He was born April 30, 1930, in Burning Springs, WV, to the late Thelma Woodring and Raleigh Woodring.

He had many hobbies including gardening, league bowling, traveling and working for the library in retirement. More than anything, Leo loved having his family together at cookouts, holiday parties, and beach house vacations.

Leo will forever be missed by his children, Mark Frances, Matt Frances, David Frances, Kathy (Claudio) Trilli; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as many extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Joan Frances; his brother, Gale (Woody) Woodring; and his daughter-in-law, Cathy Frances, who was married to David.

Services for Leo are private and were entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231.
