Leo Rodriguez, age 54, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on June 9, 2025, surrounded by those who loved him most.
He was born in Corpus Christi on December 19, 1970, to Leonel Heath and Santa Garza Heath and graduated from Calallen High School.
Leo was a man of many passions – he had a love for fishing and rock music, he was a skilled woodworker, and a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, through thick and thin. His quick wit and sharp sense of humor could light up any room, and Halloween was more than just a holiday for Leo – it was a celebration he poured his heart into every year.
Above all else, Leo was deeply devoted to his family. He took immense pride in being the rock of his family, a provider and protector, and he leaves behind a legacy of strength, unconditional love, and laughter that will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leonel and Santa, his nephew Sean Rodriguez, his siblings Javier Rodriguez and Leticia Rutland, and his son Kevin Rodriguez.
He is survived by the love of his life of 34 years, Monica Rodriguez, daughter Victoria Rodriguez (Manny Garza), grandson Soren Garza, sister Marie “Desi” Brown, brother Eric (Jessica) Heath, and many nieces and nephews.
