Leola L. (Swain) Albert, 85, of Latrobe, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026, at Twin Lakes Rehabilitation and Healthcare, Greensburg. Born Feb. 11, 1940, in Ambridge, she was the daughter of the late Norbert L. and Eva Esther (Carpenter) Swain. Leola was a longtime member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Latrobe, where she served as a CCD teacher and RCIA instructor. She was also a member of AARP and a former Girl Scout leader. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Norbert Swain Jr.; and two sisters, Esther Joan Swain and Carol Rozic. Leola is survived by her husband, James E. Albert of Latrobe; one daughter, Lisa Marie Smith (Randy) of Murrysville; one son, James E. Albert (Brianne) of Pittsburgh; three grandchildren, Austin Baer (Kerri), Tristan Albert, and Brayden Albert; two step-grandchildren, Scott Smith and Jamie Clemente (Nick); one great-granddaughter, Atlas Cloud Baer; and two step-great-grandchildren, Nora and Tate.
At her request, there will be no public visitations or services. Private interment will be at Unity Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by LOPATICH-BRINKER FUNERAL HOME LLC, 601 Weldon St., Latrobe.
